MOUNT VERNON – Columbia Gas will soon begin a natural gas line replacement project in Clinton Township.
The company plans to replace approximately 6,000 feet of bare steel natural gas pipeline with newer, higher-functioning plastic pipe. Two public meetings will be held for residents and Columbia customers with questions on the project, one Monday, Nov. 30 at 5:30 p.m. and the other Tuesday, Dec. 1 at noon.
This plastic pipe incorporates new safety features and will serve Buckeye Addition customers for many years to come. There is no additional cost to customers for this project. This work is part of Columbia’s 25 year, $2 billion plan to improve the safety and reliability of more than 20,000-miles of underground natural gas pipe.
